Ann Siang Hill has been a great urban conservation area that is welcomed by many artists in Singapore. Though many shophouses have been converted to pubs, restaurants, businesses, and hotels, the facades have been somewhat kept as close to the pre-war period or even better.
This is a time-lapse capture of a sketch done at the location with an interest group called Scenic Rangers that paints plein air in watercolour mostly. I joined them occasionally to paint too.
